Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca says the club will use the next three games to decide whether they will replace suspended Mykhailo Mudryk.

The winger was provisionally banned by the Football Association on Tuesday after failing a banned substance test, with Mudryk taking to social media to express his “shock” at the decision and denying he had ever intentionally used a banned substance. If found guilty, Mudryk could face a four-year ban from football.

Maresca was ask at a press conference on Wednesday ahead of Chelsea’s Conference League game against Shamrock Rovers whether the club had a replacement for Mudryk in the squad, with 18-year-old winger Tyrick George in the mix.

“We have games against Everton, Ipswich and Fulham. After these three games we will see if we have to do anything (in January),” Maresca said.

“Of course Tyrick (George) will get a chance to play and we will try to help him improve every day.”

Josh Acheampong has ended months of speculation after Chelsea announced he has signed a new contract.

“Acheampong was with us in pre-season, but after two or three days, he really impressed me,”

“We tried to understand a contract, but in the end the club reached an agreement with him. We believe that he can be Register ufabet a great player for this club.”

Asked whether the 18-year-old defender would benefit from a loan move, Maresca disagreed.

“My opinion is that he should be close to us,” he added.

“If we can keep him here, it will be much better.”
